
Katerina completed a Visual Communications degree at the University of Technology, Sydney (UTS). She started her career working as an illustrator and graphic designer at Scholastic Publishing. She then completed her post grad studies in Production Design at the Australian Film, Television and Radio School (AFTRS). She worked as a production designer and costume designer on smaller projects as well as working in large art departments on many major Australian films such as Baz Luhrmann’s Moulin Rouge. She developed her career and maintains freelance work as a concept artist and graphic designer for look books, decks and pitch documents for filmmakers. She has taught at several prestigious tertiary educational institutions: AFTRS; as the National Institute of Dramatic Art, Sydney (NIDA); UTS; the New York Film Academy, Los Angeles (NYFA). Her work has been exhibited at the Aperture Gallery, New York City, as a finalist in the Lens Culture Black & White Photography Awards, 2018; Spazio Labo’ Gallery in Bologna, Italy for PH museum’s Familiar Stranger, 2020. Her photographic work has been published in two books accompanying the above exhibitions; two issues of FAYN magazine published in Los Angeles; 805 Lit + Art digital literature magazine; RUSSH independent fashion magazine. She is currently developing a graphic novel using photographic digital art.
